The purpose and mission statement of this organization shall be the promotion of sports and other recreational and cultural activities, with primary focus on softball and baseball, to serve all children within the Hempfield Township and Greensburg communities and to develop their interest and participation in character building programs, without regard to race, creed, color, gender or national origin. The organization shall focus on teaching good sportsmanship and proper conduct of all coaches, players, parents, spectators and other volunteers. The Association shall be non-partisan, non-sectarian and it shall be operated as a non-profit organization
